Extended R&D Program
DataGenic announced today an extended program of R & D investment, following the investment by Dr Jacques Chahine.
“Our R & D spend has always been higher than the industry average of 7%â€, comments Colin Hartley, CVO, DataGenic, “and the investment money allows us to sustain and even increase our current budget, which will accelerate our development program and time to marketâ€.
“Our clients’ business environment is evolving and adapting at a frenetic pace, and there is a reduced tolerance on waiting for the addition of new functionalitiesâ€, says Hartley. “This has increased pressure on vendor partner companies like DataGenic to deliver products in shorter time-frames, whilst ensuring the highest level of quality.â€
“As part of the investment, we will be adding further development resources to our Offshore Development Centre in Bangalore, and adding to our support infrastructure said Hartley.
Richard Quigley, Managing Director, commented: “As a technology solutions company, we must continually develop and adapt to our market requirements. Client-paid development, whilst beneficial, does not always align with the market time-frame and competitive pressuresâ€. Quigley adds: “Having the capital investment for R & D dissipates that pressure, whilst helping to differentiate us in the market place and ensuring our future successâ€.
